Project Men mentoring group creates an atmosphere where community leaders and college students can connect and guide high school and middle school
students in becoming successful male figures in their community. Mentors are paired with mentees to form long-standing relationships, where mentees
will gain a support system throughout the program and as they matriculate into a university. The mentorship program helps young men learn valuable
life-enhancing lessons that will ignite the expectation of one-day becoming leaders in their own community. Mentors and mentees both commit to working
together and participating in educational curriculum, social activities, and leadership trainings, while working to fulfilling the goals of Project
Men to be engaged, confident and inspired young men – turned educated, inspirational and forward thinking adults.
Mentors engage with mentees to accomplish valuable program activities which help them with school work, participate in volunteer opportunities, and
interact with progressive male figures who are in careers they are interested in pursuing. Project Men affords the opportunity for young men
to meeting with their mentors at least once a week to take the steps in becoming a Project Men graduate. Project Men mentees who complete the
program are encouraged to return as mentors to guide and help support young men who are working to be future trailblazers.
Project MEN seeks to motivate and equip young men in high school with confidence, character, and academic proficiency through Mentoring.
